The Guitar Society of Brantford is a community-based program and would not be operating without the proud support of its dedicated Volunteers and Donors.

Below are a list of the many people who have contributed or are contributing to The Guitar Society of Brantford's events, activities and programs.

VOLUNTEERS AND HELPERS

Susan and Darcy Clark - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!  Your dedication, commitment, encouraging words, and positive attitude shine through in all you do. Thank you for our beautiful logo creation for our concert series Music and Beans Coffee House  Thank you for opening up your house to us for our special Beautiful Space Concert and showing us your gorgeous quilts and telling their stories.


Joan Chinsen - Thank you for always helping set up and take down the hall, you always have a smile on your face.  



Cheryl Brownell and Elizabeth Creswell - Our two snap-happy photographers - you even put up with Denise sticking her tongue out for most pictures.



Kim Difrancisco - Thank you for creating our beautiful  Guitar Society Logo, as well as all the posters, cardstock, tickets, and even logos.  


Jessica Kocis - Thank you for helping keep our orchestra organized with weekly emails and helping our conductor choose a rep for us.


Patrick Feely our artistic director brings us such wonderful concert artists and is brave enough to stand before us with the baton and put up with our wrong notes and incorrect rhythms.

  • 6:15–6:30 PM – Review Playground Suite Movements 3 (Carousel) and 5 (Trampoline).

  • 6:30–7:00 PM – Rehearsal of The Gift of Fire.

  • 7:00–7:30 PM – Sectional rehearsal of new piece Held Fast (score and parts above).

        6:00–6:10 – G scale warm-up (new rhythm - Mi si si pi Hot Dog)

        String crossing from the elbow - oblique string attack - Tone

        6:10–6:50 – Playground Suite review (10 minutes per movement): 

  •       Movement 1: Swing

  •      Movement 3: Carousel

  •      Movement 6: Trampoline

  •      Movement 7: Climbing Frame

        6:50–7:00 – Stretch break
