  • 6:00–6:15 PM – Group work on descending slurs (Slur Studies from The Gift of Fire, in reverse order).

  • 6:15–6:30 PM – Review Playground Suite Movements 3 (Carousel) and 5 (Trampoline).

  • 6:30–7:00 PM – Rehearsal of The Gift of Fire.

  • 7:00–7:30 PM – Sectional rehearsal of new piece Held Fast (score and parts above).

        6:00–6:10 – G scale warm-up (new rhythm - Mi si si pi Hot Dog)

        String crossing from the elbow - oblique string attack - Tone

        6:10–6:50 – Playground Suite review (10 minutes per movement): 

  •       Movement 1: Swing

  •      Movement 3: Carousel

  •      Movement 6: Trampoline

  •      Movement 7: Climbing Frame

        6:50–7:00 – Stretch break
        7:00–7:15 – Gift of Fire
        7:15–7:30 – Held Fast

        6:10–7:10 – review the following (10 minutes per movement):

  •      Movement 3: Carousel

  •      Movement 6: Trampoline
